Leader of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta and High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, yesterday, summoned commanders & leaders of the various wings of the militant group to an emergency meeting, tomorrow in Yenagoa, Bayelsa .He did not state agenda of the meeting, but Tompolo, who is the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw nation, in the invitation, said the meeting, which will hold at Izon House, Yenagoa, was important.

JAMB:Unilag Rejects 59,000 Candidates
University of Lagos has rejected about 59,000 candidates who applied for their tertiary education in the school through JAMB .This was in irrespective of the fact that majority of the students scored above the Board’s cut-off mark. JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin stated that the Board has entered into an agreement with the school to post the rejected students to other schools around Lagos environs

LAGOS:Police Rapid Response Squad arrests 93 Hoodlums
The Police in Lagos have arrested 93 suspected hoodlums at Oshodi on Wednesday as it continued with its raid of criminal hideouts in the metropolis.
A statement by the state command of the Nigeria Police Force said on Thursday that the suspects were arrested by its Rapid Respond Squad.
The statement quoted the RRS Commander, ACP Olatunji Disu, as saying that they were arrested at about 1am.
