Why I said APC’ll govern Imo for 24 yrs – Okorocha
Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has advised loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to stop losing sleep over his earlier stand that the All Progressives Congress, APC, would govern Imo for 24 years. Okorocha gave the advice in a press statement signed by his media aide, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, and made available to journalists in Owerri.
“Some members of the PDP in the state, yet to recover from the shock of losing the governorship elections in 2011 and in 2015 consecutively, have been making fruitless efforts to read harmful meaning into that innocent claim of the governor,
by trying to compare it with a similar claim by the former National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Vincent Ogbulafor, some time ago that his party would rule the country for 60 years, which could not be achieved by the party,” Onwuemeodo said.
