BET Award winner,Stonebwoy loses Mum

BET Award winner,Stonebwoy is bereaved.The rising Ghanaian dance hall act has lost his mother, Catherine Satekla. The sad incident, which has dampened the spirits of the award winning act, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, July 29, 2015.Stonebwoy’s mum breathed her last at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra where she had been admitted.

Nigeria Airforce discover Boko Haram's oil depot,supply routes

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) through its intensified and persistent efforts in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram terrorists has intercepted over 4,000 drums and jerry cans of petroleum products and other smuggled items. The items were confiscated from the smugglers in Pepe, Dashin-Hausa, Belel Bilachi, and Konkul villages located along the Nigeria-Cameroon border on Tuesday, 28 July 2015.

It was a clear case of man’s inhumanity to his fellow man. That is the only way anyone can describe the act of one Stephen Anona, 32, from Njikoka in Anambra State, who allegedly slaughtered one Daniel Bassey Solomon, from Uruan LGA, like goat with head, hands and legs cut-off, carefully stacked inside bags and dumped in the nearby bush.

DPR seals 22 filling stations in Abuja

DPR says it has sealed 22 filling stations in Abuja and environs for profiteering. This was contained in a statement issued by Muhammad Saidu,the Head of Public Relations of DPR,in Abuja on Wednesday. The statement said 19 of them were sealed up for selling above N87/ litre,2 for diversion of petroleum products,with the  remaining one for “grossly under-dispensing & selling products massively in jerry cans”.

PDP broke,plans to reduce staff by 50 percent

Two months after losing power at the national level and in majority of the states, the national leadership of the former ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, has concluded plans to sack half of its workforce. Towards this end, the National Secretary of the party, Prof. Wale Oladipo, has communicated the decision of the National Working Committee of the party to all its directors.
