The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) through its intensified and persistent efforts in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram terrorists has intercepted over 4,000 drums and jerry cans of petroleum products and other smuggled items. That is the only way anyone can describe the act of one Stephen Anona, 32, from Njikoka in Anambra State, who allegedly slaughtered one Daniel Bassey Solomon, from Uruan LGA, like goat with head, hands and legs cut-off, carefully stacked inside bags and dumped in the nearby bush.

DPR seals 22 filling stations in Abuja

DPR says it has sealed 22 filling stations in Abuja and environs for profiteering. This was contained in a statement issued by Muhammad Saidu,the Head of Public Relations of DPR,in Abuja on Wednesday. The statement said 19 of them were sealed up for selling above N87/ litre,2 for diversion of petroleum products,with the  remaining one for “grossly under-dispensing & selling products massively in jerry cans”.
