Stoke City’s Peter Odemwingie has admitted that he has not fully recovered from his knee ligament injury that kept him out for eight months, despite featuring in his side's last three games.
The Nigerian was on parade in Stoke’s pre-season games versus Singapore, Everton and Brentford but reveals he needs time to be at his best.
"I'm still a few months away from being 100%, but I am happy with where I am now," he told Stoke City Player.
"I do all the necessary work. Fitness now is what I want to achieve - there's no shortcuts.

"I just have to make those efforts off the ball as well, which I try my best to do, which will bring me back to my best physical condition,” he concluded.
The former West Bromwich Albion forward who recently reached an agreement with the Potters over a new contract that will keep him at the Britannia Stadium until June 2016 boasts of six goals in 23 appearances for Mark Hughes’ men.
