Lukaku brace puts Everton in FA Cup semis with win over Chelsea

Romelu Lukaku scored twice to book Everton’s place at Wembley with a 2-0 win over Chelsea in their FA Cup quarterfinal on Saturday.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa and Everton’s Gareth Barry were both sent off after Lukaku’s brace but it will be Roberto Martinez’s Toffees who advanced to the semifinals.
There were no goals in a first half that lacked scoring chances but had plenty of aggression, including a clash between Costa and Barry, with the Chelsea striker being booked.
Costa nearly made the breakthrough with a little under an hour played, sending the ball across the face of goal from a tight angle, but Everton escaped.
The hosts then enjoyed their best spell of the game, with Thibaut Courtois doing well to deny Lukaku.
