Obafemi Martins Tells Oliseh, Let Me Play For Nigeria Again

Obafemi Martins has asked the new Super Eagles coach if he can still play for Nigeria again. While congratulating him on his new job, Martins said Sunday Oliseh has all it takes to coach the team and urged him to give him a chance to score for Nigeria again.

It will be recalled that the footballer’s name was left out of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifying match against Tanzania and international friendly game against Niger scheduled for early next month. Martins has also been nursing a four months injury and only returned to action for Seattle Sounders last weekend.

“I hope I will soon get another chance to score goals for Nigeria again and I also believe that with time and a little more patience the Eagles will come back to their winning ways under the new coach, because Oliseh has got all the experience we need in a coach. He has played the game before and I am really happy to see him in the Eagles again,” he said
