Arsenal to reward Iwobi with new £10,000-a-week deal

Arsenal are ready to reward Alex Iwobi for his recent impressive displays, with an improved contract.

Only last October, the youngster signed a new deal to stay at the Emirates until 2019, which sees him earn less than £1,000 a week.
But last week, Iwobi earned praises from several pundits, after he made his full debuts in the Champions League and Premier League. The 19-year-old also scored his first senior goal for the club in their 2-0 win at Everton.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, is eager to see Iwobi’s remuneration bumped up to around £10,000 a week, as he has stepped up to first-team football seamlessly.
Iwobi is currently with Nigeria on international duty and is expected to play a part in their AFCON 2017 double header against Egypt.
