Delta State Has Recorded First Case of Lassa fever.The first case of the lassa fever virus was comfired by the spokesman of the ministry of Health Churchill Oyewo on Monday, January 18, to reporters in Asaba, the state capital.
He said that the index case occurred after a 65-year-old woman from Anambra state was admitted at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Asaba,
The ministry’s spokesman stated further that woman was referred to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) when her conditions became worsened.
