Former Tottenham and Fulham boss Martin Jol has been appointed head coach of Egyptian Premier League leaders Al Ahly.
Jol, who also managed Ajax and Hamburg, has agreed an 18-month contract and will take charge of his first match on March 5 when his new club take on Misr El-Maqasha.
Jol's new club are three points ahead of Zamalek who earlier this week appointed former Scotland, Rangers, Aston Villa and Birmingham boss Alex McLeish as successor to ex-Tottenham striker Mido as coach.
