Okowa asks Emerhor, Ogboru to apologise to Deltans

The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, has asked the governorship candidates of the All Progressive Congress and the Labour Party in the last general election to apologise to Deltans.

The Governor made the demand after the Supreme Court dismissed appeals against his election as the Governor of Delta State filed by the APC’s Olorogun Ortega Emerhor and Labour Party’s Great Ogboru who were candidates of the parties in the 2015 election.
Governor Okowa said that the apology was for distracting residents of Delta State with legal battles they knew were not justifiable.
He made the statement in Asaba at a thanksgiving service held on Tuesday shortly after the Supreme Court upheld his election as the duly elected Governor of Delta State.
