Police Combs Bayelsa Creeks In Search Of Tompolo

The police have deployed policemen in the creeks of Bayelsa State on orders of the Inspector General of Police,
Solomon Arase, to arrest a former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo in compliance with the order of a Federal High Court.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Bisi Kolawole, who confirmed the search said the IG had directed his officers to apprehend Tompolo, who has also been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. 

She also noted that the Police won’t need the help of the military to track and arrest Tompolo because they are up to the task.
