Less than two weeks to the January 9, 2016 date for the supplementary governorship election in Bayelsa, the State Governor, Sariake Dickson, today made a surprise visit to the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
His reasons for the visit were not known and it was not clear whether he actually met with the President Muhammadu Buhari in his office.

He only told the reporters that he was on his way to the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
