Ex-presidential candidate, Galadima kidnapped in Kogi, abductors demand N40m ransom

A former Presidential candidate and National Chairman of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima has been reportedly kidnapped at Obajana in Kogi State.

Vanguard reports that the party chieftain was whisked away by the gunmen towards Obajana in Osaro, Kogi State while on his way to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital to attend the burial of one of his elder brothers.
The National Chairman of Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, Chief Peter Ojonugwa Ameh, confirmed the abduction to newsmen on Friday.
My colleague, the National chairman and former presidential candidate of ACPN, in 2015 general election, Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima has been kidnapped,” he said in a text.
“He was kidnapped today in Osaro in Kogi State on his way from Abuja to attend the burial ceremony of one of his elder brothers in Ilorin,” he added.
He revealed further that his abductors had made contact with his family and that they were demanding for N40 million ransom.
