Pere of Ogbe-Ijoh: Delta community petitions IG, others

THE People of Perebiri quarters of Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri kingdom, Delta State, yesterday, petitioned the Inspector General of Police, IG, over alleged plans  to disobey an order of court restraining the coronation of anyone as Pere of Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri Kingdom, before the  November 19 date  for further hearing in the suit in the matter before a Delta State High Court in sitting in Warri.

Perebiri people, who also petitioned the Deputy Governor of Delta State and other security agencies through their counsel, Edore Lawson Umuze, said that a faction was allegedly planning a tentative date  for the installation and also planning to arrest the petitioners before that day for the coronation to take place.
The petition read: “We act as solicitors to members of Perebiri Quarters of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom represented by Chief Alfred Yola, Sele Banni and Samson Ogisi Robert,  the claimants in suit No: W/156/2015.
“We therefore, bring to the notice of the deputy governor, the IG and other security agencies that the kingship matter is already in the state high court and an injunction was granted, ordering parties to maintain status quo.”
