Urhobo ex-agitator pleads with Ogboru, Emerhor

An Urhobo ex-agitator, General Lucky Johnson, has pleaded with Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru of Labour Party and Chief O‘Tega Emerhor of All Progressives Congress (APC) to sheath   their swords and   withdraw their cases from Delta State governorship   election tribunal to allow quality development of the state by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

Johnson, from   Gbarigolor Ewu and part of the Third Phase of the Amnesty Program, appealed to Ogboru and Emerhor, who vied in the April 11 gubernatorial election with Okowa, to put Delta first, advising Urhobo leaders to call   both governorship candidates     to order to   avert a political crisis that will paint their people in bad light.
While decrying the negative impact of prolonged litigation on the governorship election, he appealed to Ogboru and Emerhor to do the needful   by embracing Okowa’s victory as a   wish of God and not man.
He reminded the Urhobo that if all things work as planned, the end of the Okowa administration would usher in an Urhobo governorship candidate, inquiring what would be their reaction should the     Anioma   stand   against the Urhobo?
Johnson, who called on Okowa to put young and vibrant Deltans in his cabinet in a bid to enhance optimal performance, hailed the governor for the appointment of Dr Amos Itihwe as a Director in DESOPADEC representing Ughelli South.
