Twitter suffered a short outage this evening with users across the UK and US unable to access the service from their Pcs.
Users reported that they could still access the social media service through Apps on their phone and Tweetdeck but were unable to get onto the Twitter website on their PCs.
Twitter later said: "From 11.22am to 12:16pm PST, users may have experienced issues accessing www.twitter.com.
"Other services including mobile were not affected. This issue has now been resolved. We are sorry for any inconvenience."
