Pep Guardiola would dominate if he chooses to come to the Premier League next summer, according to Thierry Henry.
Manchester City are widely expected to make a move to appoint Guardiola when he leaves Bayern Munich at the end of the season, while Chelsea and Manchester United could also be in the running with Guus Hiddink in temporary charge at Stamford Bridge and Louis van Gaal under severe pressure at Old Trafford.
And in a column for The Sun, Henry - who won the Treble under Guardiola's guidance at Barcelona in the 2008/09 season - insists he has no doubt over the impact his former coach would have in English football.
"If I was chairman of any club in the world looking to change its manager, Guardiola would be my No1 pick," Henry wrote. "No contest.
"For me, he is already one of the greatest coaches of all time. His teams don’t just win the league, they totally dominate it.
"He arrives with a plan, takes complete control of a club and puts a lasting legacy in place that survives long after he’s moved on to his next challenge.
"I was fortunate enough to be at Barcelona right at the start of Guardiola’s coaching career and was blown away by the man and his methods.
"Now I can only assume that he has become even better during the past five years at Barca and Bayern."
