Buhari congratulates Bishop Okonkwo at 70

President Muhammadu Buhari has commended Bishop Mike Okonkwo’s lifelong commitment to the service of God and humanity.This is contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Sunday.

It stated that the president gave the commendation in a congratulatory letter to the bishop on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
Buhari praised the bishop’s tireless dedication to his duty as the spiritual shepherd of many Nigerians and non-Nigerians.
“It gives me immense joy to felicitate with you as you clock the landmark age of 70 years.
“More than four decades of these 70 years have been dedicated to the work of God as a pastor and preacher.
“Our prayer is that God will give you longer life, strength and your ability to serve Him for many more years,” Buhari wrote.
The president wished the bishop, members of his family and The Redeemed Evangelical Mission a very happy celebration of his birthday.
