US Open: Serena Williams loses semi final to Roberta Vinci
Serena Williams has crashed out the US open with a 2-6 6-4 6-4 loss to unseeded Italian Roberta Vinci.
The surprise defeat to Vinci dashed Williams' hopes of completing a calendar year Grand Slam by becoming only the fourth woman to win all four majors in the same year.
