Team Nigeria Stripped Of 7 Medals For Doping

Team Nigeria contingent to the 2015 All Africa Games held in Congo Brazzaville has been stripped of seven medals won at the African version of the Olympics.

This was revealed on Thursday by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, while addressing sports journalists at the National Stadium, Abuja.
Nigeria finished second on the final medals 
table behind Egypt with 47 gold, 55 silver and 42 bronze medals ahead of South Africa.
According to Dalung, the medals were withdrawn following the affected athletes’ failure of dope test.
Following the orders by Dalung to the National Sports Commission to immediately release the names of the affected athletes to the public, the NSC later through a release signed by its Director-General, Alhassan Yakmut, named the affected athletes as Deborah Odeyemi, who won gold medal in athletics and tested positive of Metenolone. She was banned for four years and her gold medal withdrawn.
Chinazom Amadi (athletics), also tested positive to the same banned and had Metenolone her gold medal withdrawn with a four-year ban as sanction.
Samson Idiata (athletics) tested positive to banned Clenbuterol and was banned for four years.
Sunday Ezeh (para athletics) was banned for four years for testing positive to Hydrochlorothiazide and its degradation product ACB(SS Diuretics), while Thomas Kure (para powerlifting), who won silver medal at the Games had the medal withdrawn and he was banned for four years for testing positive to 19-Norandrosterone, among others.
Elizabeth Onuah (weightlifting), a silver medallist was banned for eight years for testing positive to Amiloride and had her medal withdrawn, while Patience Opuene (wrestling) tested positive to Hydrochlorothiazide and banned for four years.
Ebi James Igbadiwei (wrestling) was banned for four year and her silver medal was withdrawn
