The Nigerian Army has sent a 12-man list of very senior officers to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for investigation.
The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, who stated this in an electronic mail on Thursday night said that the list comprised three serving major generals, one retired major general, three brigadier generals, four colonels and a lieutenant colonel.

He said that at the end of the investigation by the EFCC, those found guilty would face a military court martial.
Usman was silent on the names of those sent to the EFCC for investigation.
He said, “The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the public that 12 Army officers have been sent to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), for investigation.
“This comprised of 3 serving Major Generals, and one retired, 3 Brigadier Generals, 4 Colonels and 1 Lieutenant Colonel. However, it should be noted that at the end of the Commission’s investigations those found culpable will be tried by a military Court Martial.”
