#IAmANigerianNotACriminal: Rotimi Amaechi and Ben Bruce get into a Twitter spat

Bayelsa State Senator, Ben Bruce, and Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, got into a passive aggressive Twitter fight over government activities.
The fight began after Japheth Omojuwa, a journalist tweeted, “The reason I will NEVER take people like Ben Bruce serious is because when they saw a leader (GEJ) do wrong, they kept quiet. Don’t be Bruce.”
You lose the moral authority to praise a leader when they get things right when you defend them when they get things wrong.
The reason I will NEVER take people like Ben Bruce serious is because when they saw a leader (GEJ) do wrong, they kept quiet. Don't be Bruce

Ben Bruce didn’t cowl to this blatant accusation, instead he shifted the blame by saying,  “Your own minister spent ?80 million on a one day dinner, yet it is your citizens you accuse of being criminals #IAmANigerianNotACriminal”.

Your own minister spent ₦80 million on a one day dinner, yet it is your citizens you accuse of being criminals
A coward who is not bold enough to name the minister that he alleged criminally spent N80M on dinner is unfit to sit in our senate chambers

Neither of them directed tweeted at each other.
Bruce responded again by saying, “When you have been Wike’d, you become wicked! But you will always be my beloved brother, no matter how much you transfer the anger on me

When you have been Wike'd, you become wicked! But you will always be my beloved brother, no matter how much you transfer the anger on me.
That tweet was in reference to the Supreme Court’s upholding of Nyesom Wike’s election as Governor of Rivers State, a post formerly held by Amaechi and was challenged by Amaechi’s ally and fellow APC member, Dakubu Peterside.
Amaechi then ended the non-argument by saying, “I will not respond to innuendos. Be courageous, name the minister. We know you talk here & do ‘siddon’ look where you are elected to talk.”
