Police arrests 3 men, woman with 5 AK-47 rifles in Port Harcourt

The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arrest of four suspected criminals and the recovery of five AK-47 rifles around Ibadan waterfront in Port Harcourt.

The command spokesman, Ahmad Muhammad said the breakthrough was made based on a tip-off on suspicious movements around the waterfront area.

Muhammad said a combined team of policemen, led to the arrest of Francis Anderson, Gift David, Richard Toria and Barikwa Godspower, who were between ages eighteen and thirty-eight years.
The Command spokesman also said six magazines and one hundred and twenty rounds of live ammunition were also recovered from the suspects, as well as two vehicles.
He said, “The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arrest of suspected criminals and recovery of five AK-47 rifles.
“On 09/02/2016 at about 0500 hours, a patriotic citizen reported to the police of a suspicious movement at Ibadan waterfront, Port Harcourt.
“Quick response on the information by combine teams of police led the arrest of four suspects namely Francis Anderson ‘m’ 38 years, Gift David ‘m’ 18 years, Richard Toria ‘m’ 23 year and Barikwa Godspower ‘f’ 32 years
