Barcelona full-back Dani Alves believes Arsenal lack the necessary experience to win titles on a regular basis.
The Brazil international will come up against the Gunners in the coming weeks as Arsene Wenger’s side look to plot a path past the Camp Nou outfit and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
And though Alves is impressed by the style in which the Premier League side play the game, he feels there is a lack of maturity in their team, which tends to let them down.
Being such a young team they sometimes lack maturity and the experience that’s necessary to get to the line,” he told The Times.
“In the Premier League they start well, but it costs them more to maintain that level and get titles. They treat the ball very well and are very organised, tactically, but there is not a mixture of youth and experience.
“The young people want to attack but there are times when you have to control the game.”
