Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho thinks owner Roman Abramovich will stick by him, despite the club’s poor season.
The champions, who are 14th, have lost eight of their 15 Premier League matches so far, are yet to clinch Champions League last-16 qualification and are out of the League Cup.
Asked why he would be retained, Mourinho said: “Because I think I did lots of good things for this club.
“I don’t think the owner is a person to change with the wind.”
The Portuguese, who won his third league title with the club last season, added: “Abramovich believed in me twice: one, when he brought me back to the club, and the second time when he gave me a new four-year contract in the summer.
“I know the wind of results is an important wind and I know this wind is really strong because the results in the Premier League are really bad.”
The Blues boss had been speaking at the news conference previewing Wednesday’s Champions League match against Porto. The club must avoid defeat to confirm their place in the last 16.
They go into the match on the back of a surprise home defeat by promoted Bournemouth on Saturday, with league leaders Leicester awaiting them next weekend.

It has been reported that Mourinho could be sacked if the Blues fail to win their next two games.
The former Inter Milan and Real Madrid coach returned to Chelsea in the summer of 2013 and won the league and Capital One Cup in his second season.
In his first spell at the club from 2004 to 2007, he won two league titles, FA Cup and two League Cups.
