Okada riders call for review of Lagos traffic law

The All Nigerian Auto Bike Commercial Owners and Workers Association (ANACOWA) in Ifako Ijaye Local Government Area, has called for the review of the Lagos State Traffic Law 2012.

The Branch Chairman, Mr Yusuf Oladimeji, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Thursday that his members could not operate under multiple taxes being imposed on them.
“In Lagos State that law is without clauses to explore the difficult aspect, Okada should not do this, but, that but is not there.
“Ok, Okada should ply so (and) so road but can cross is not there for instance, we have about 14 metres of that road we should not ply but other side of the road, we don’t have access.
And yet Lagos State Government is taking the normal revenue it is supposed to generate from Okada.
