Theo Walcott was made Arsenal captain for Sunday’s clash with Chelsea - but the decision did not go down well with Gunners fans on Twitter.
The 26-year-old celebrated his 10-year anniversary at Arsenal earlier this week, having joined from Southampton in a £12 million deal in 2006.
And to mark the occasion, Per Mertesacker, Arsenal’s regular captain in the absence of Mikel Arteta, handed the armband over to Walcott before the start of the match.
