Football Association board member Heather Rabbatts has expressed her "sadness and anger" that Chelsea's doctor has left the club.
Ms Rabbatts was reacting to reports that Dr Eva Carneiro had left the club six weeks after she was heavily criticised by manager Jose Mourinho.
Carneiro became embroiled in a row with Mourinho when she and head physio Jon Fearn rushed on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard during the opening match of the Premier League season.
She was subsequently downgraded at the club, with the manager receiving huge media attention following the decision.
A Chelsea spokesman said he could not comment on internal staffing matters.
