Hundreds killed in crush at Saudi's Hajj pilgrimage

Hundreds of Muslim pilgrims have been killed and injured after a stampede broke out at the mass Hajj pilgrimage near the Saudi city of Mecca.

The tragedy, which is thought to have killed at least 717 people according to latest estimates, occurred as Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Adha.
The Foreign Office said it was "urgently" investigating whether any British nationals had been caught up in the devastation.
Prime Minister David Cameron offered his "thoughts and prayers" to the families of those killed.
