Christmas: Long queues at ATMs points in Badagry, Seme

Long queues were experienced on Wednesday at most Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) centres in the various parts of Badagry area of Lagos State due to the upcoming public holidays

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent in Badagry who went round the town observed long queues at various ATM points in banks and other payment centres in Badagry.Some of the ATM points where long queue were experienced include the branches of : First Bank, Diamond Bank, UBA, Zenith Bank, Skye Bank and Wema Bank.

However, it was observed that the ATM at the Union Bank was not working when NAN visited there.Some bank customers who spoke to NAN revealed that they came to withdraw money ahead of the long public holidays.

Mr Bankole Adewunmi, a father of two, who was at the First Bank branch, said that he needed the money for the upkeep of his family during the festive period.

“I don’t want to be caught unaware, so I’m here to withdraw money for the welfare of my family.

“The queue is long but I really don’t mind because you never know what can happen during the long break. So, it is better to be on the safer side,’’ he said.
