Members of staff of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Kaduna Office, has donated food items worth N400, 000 to orphanages in Kaduna as part of its activity to mark the 2015 end of year celebration.
Benefiting orphanages are Jam’iyar Matan Arewa (JMA) Orphanage Home and Adonai Orphanage Home and A l-Ihsan Charity Organization Children’s Home all in Kaduna.
Presenting the items, UNICEF’s Kaduna Field Office Media and External Relations Officer, Rabiu Musa explained that the gesture was part of the staff members contribution in bringing succour to orphans and vulnerable children in the society.
Musa explained that usually the staff members contribute money at the end of every year to organize a get-together-party after a year of tedious but result-oriented work.
